No. Beginners can start using our training equipment during early lessons while learning the basics and deciding what type of archery interests them most. Most long-term students eventually purchase their own equipment, but there is no pressure to buy anything immediately.

Absolutely. Many of our students started with no archery experience at all. We work with beginners of all ages and help them progress at their own pace.
Our students range from about 6 years old to over 80 years old.
Yes. In fact, a large percentage of our students are adults. Some are learning archery for the first time while others are returning to the sport after many years away.
No. Some students compete seriously, some compete casually, and others never compete at all. Archery can simply be a relaxing and rewarding activity for personal improvement and enjoyment.
Most lessons are small-group or semi-private sessions that still allow for individual coaching and corrections. Lessons are scheduled around each student’s availability whenever possible.
Most lessons run between 1 and 1.5 hours, although some students stay longer to continue practicing or socializing with other shooters.
Coaching sessions are $30 per session.
We are not a traditional retail archery shop and do not stock large amounts of inventory.

Yes. We provide bow tuning, repairs, setup assistance, and arrow fletching services.
Range memberships provide 24/7 access to the indoor range whenever coaching sessions, tournaments, or special events are not taking place.
Quarterly range memberships are $180 for 3 months.
Yes. Walk-in range time is available during normal business hours when lanes are open. Range time is $15 per hour.
No. Ohio Archery Center is intentionally designed to be a quieter, more relaxed, and supportive environment. While many students compete, the atmosphere is welcoming and low pressure.
Yes. In fact, a large percentage (about 75%-80%) of our students are women and girls.
Our focus is coaching, improvement, and community.
We are not an entertainment venue or a large retail pro shop. Many students stay with us for years because they enjoy the supportive environment, individualized coaching, and strong community atmosphere that has developed around the range.
Yes. We host NFAA/OAA mail-in tournaments and are home to the Nocking Point Archery Club, which participates in tournaments, social events, and virtual competitions throughout the year.
Yes. We coach both recreational and competitive shooters, including archers competing in local, state, and national tournaments.
No. Archery can be adapted to many ages and physical abilities. One of the advantages of archery is that people can continue improving for many years regardless of age.
